Amusing annoyances

Tue Jun 23, 2009, 12:22 PM
I appreciate critiques and comments and whatnot, but if you can't infer what a double-shot screwdriver is, you need to go back to picture books.

I've been finding comments on what's hard to understand useful, but at the same time, it's hard to figure out what actually needs explanation when something as mundane as a screwdriver confuses them.

  • Playing: I should be getting my NES anyday now. *__*
  • Eating: protein bar
  • Drinking: warm water

lol. Depending on context, I guess I can kinda see how someone might have trouble with that?

I'm guessing the person wasn't very old, like 15 maybe, because the context was drinking in a bar.

The site, critters.org, isn't as useful as I thought it'd be. I like it, because I like to critique fiction, but getting critiques on the other hand is not that great. Some of it's been helpful and I've made a lot of major revisions after a few things were brought to my attention.

A double-shot screwdriver is clearly a screwdriver that's been capped by a nine.

Or, two ounces (or so) of vodka in some fresh squeezed. Who knows, really?

Capped by a nine. Nice one.

Yeah, I think I've heard of the site once or twice. Never actually stopped over that way, but I'm pretty sure that I thought about it at least.
